'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

My bedroom

...while we have visitors.  I think the best sleeping quarters in the house.  I might move out there permanently.

  1. Ladeeeees and Gentlemen....I present to you, Katherine, the human Toblerone from New Zealand.

We need some scale (although the towing hitch is a clue) so can you please stand in the doorway in your baby doll pjs.

Fishnets and stilettos would be a bonus but not strictly necessary for scale purposes !!

  5. There was a great UK arts TV program where a Nun (forget her name) commented on the pictures of the great artists, she was very erudite and intelligent and I learnt a lot from those programmes about looking at pictures - it was a great programme indeed. She lived in a caravan on a block of land owned by her Nuns order - now that you are in the 'habit' of living in a caravan Katherine, does this mean a TV program is pending? or is your reply that you will have nun of this?

  6. Awwww that is a cute little trailer! I could tow it behind my 5th wheel!

Silverback is a pig. I shall slap him for you.

  7. If you think that this trailer is small (it actually can actually sleep four, and has a sink, two gas rings, and a pantry, believe it or not!) you should see my OTHER caravan. We call the smaller one "Humpty Dumpty". And I'm sure that name will call forth another suggestion from Silverback, but choke it back! This is a G-rated blog.
(The name was thought up in a moment of family innocence when the children were much younger.)

Photo coming when I get a chance, and the rain has stopped.

    Silverback. I'll think about it.
David. Extending the trailer? Not sure what you mean.
YP, are you suggesting I'm not a spring chicken anymore? Be nice, or I might threaten to allocate your sleeping quarters when you come and stay, based on your comments on my posts. Shirley of course will be given my bed.
Daphne, it is SO lovely and comfy inside. There are three windows and lots of room.
Auden: Sister Mary Leo? I've read her books. She was marvelous.
Debbie, I bought it so I could tow it easily. NZ is very hilly. The roof sides slide into each other and it just looks like an aluminum suitcase on wheels.

  8. Hi, Katherine,

If you *really* like this kind of living, you might be interested in this guy's "tiny home." I met him once and toured one of his homes. I was really impressed by how appealing his tiny home was. It had a yacht-like appeal.

    Enjoy the close quarters.

  9. I think you have me 'Alden' hardwired into your brain as 'Auden', its quite a compliment really - W H Auden and all that - but no, I am Alden - take a look at my name beside the red blog sign with the white 'B' in it. ;-)

    - and yes it is Sister Mary Leo, one of my heroes - great lady.

  10. Dan - I loved the link! Thank you! And you met him, and looked around!? Fab.

Alden! I'm so sorry, you are right. And I do think you as a sort of H.E Bates/ W.H Auden (Especially 'The More Loving One', for example). I know that's why I get your name wrong. Please forgive me. I'll try harder.
